Jaambo ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Jaambo cloud phone service at jaambo.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information through our payment processor (Stripe).

Phone Service Data

  • Phone numbers you purchase or port to our service
  • Call logs (date, time, duration, caller/recipient numbers)
  • SMS/MMS message content and metadata
  • Voicemail recordings and AI-generated transcripts
  • Call link usage and visitor information

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with our service, including browser type, IP address, pages visited, and feature usage. We use Google Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve our service.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Jaambo:

  • Telnyx — Telephony infrastructure (calls, SMS, phone numbers)
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
  • Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage
  • Deepgram — Voicemail transcription (AI speech-to-text)
  • Google Analytics — Website usage analytics
  • Vercel — Application hosting

Each third-party service processes your data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Call logs, messages, and voicemail recordings are stored until you delete them or close your account. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Voice calls are encrypted using WebRTC's built-in SRTP encryption. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Delete — Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export — Download your call logs, messages, and voicemail data
  • Correct — Update or correct inaccurate personal information
  • Object — Opt out of non-essential data processing

8. Children's Privacy

Jaambo is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Continued use of Jaambo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
