Jaambo is a cloud phone service that gives you a real phone number you can use entirely from your web browser. Make and receive calls, send texts, get voicemail with AI transcription — no SIM card or app download needed.
Sign up, pick a number from 40+ countries, and start calling. Calls use WebRTC (the same technology behind Google Meet and Zoom) for crystal-clear audio directly in your browser. SMS and voicemail work just like a regular phone.
We offer phone numbers from over 40 countries including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, France, India, Japan, Philippines, and many more. You can call any phone number worldwide.
No. Jaambo works entirely in your web browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. No app, no extension, no plugin.
After creating your account, choose your country and we'll show you available numbers. Pick one you like and it's active immediately.
$5/month per number, billed monthly. This includes unlimited incoming calls, voicemail with AI transcription, and your personal call link.

Yes. You can add as many numbers as you need, each billed at $5/month.
Number porting is supported for select carriers and countries. The process typically takes 5-15 business days. Contact support to start a port request.
Outgoing and incoming calls use WebRTC, which streams audio directly through your browser with the OPUS codec, echo cancellation, and noise suppression. It's the same technology used by Google Meet and Zoom.
Incoming calls are free. Outgoing call rates vary by destination — for example, US & Canada calls are $0.015/min, UK landlines $0.02/min, India $0.03/min. See our pricing page for full rates.
Billing only starts when the call connects — you're never charged for ringing or unanswered calls.
Yes. You can call any phone number in the world. Rates vary by destination and are displayed before you dial.
Your call link (jaambo.app/yourname) lets anyone call you from their browser with one click. They don't need a Jaambo account or any app — just a web browser.
Yes. Full SMS support is included with every number. Send and receive texts with real-time delivery.
MMS support is available for US and Canadian numbers. You can send and receive images and media.
Yes. Your Jaambo number works with most services that send SMS verification codes. However, some services may not support VoIP numbers for verification.
When you miss a call, the caller can leave a voicemail. We use Deepgram's AI speech-to-text to transcribe the message in seconds. You can read the transcript or listen to the audio recording.
Yes. AI voicemail transcription is included free with every number — no extra charge.
Voicemail recordings and transcripts are stored as long as your account is active. You can delete individual voicemails at any time.
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Your service stays active until the end of the current billing period. Your number enters a 30-day grace period before being released.
Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. Unused call balance is refundable when you close your account.
Jaambo works in all modern browsers that support WebRTC: Chrome, Firefox, Safari (14+), and Edge. For the best experience, we recommend the latest version of Chrome.
Not yet. Jaambo currently works as a web app in your mobile browser. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap.
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Voice calls are encrypted using WebRTC's built-in SRTP encryption. We use Supabase for secure data storage with row-level security.
Jaambo is designed as a secondary phone number or a primary number for cloud-first users. However, it does not support emergency calls (911/999/112), so you should always have access to a device that can reach emergency services.
Make sure your browser has microphone permission for jaambo.app. Check that your system audio output is set correctly and your volume is up. Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, try a different browser.
Ensure you have a stable internet connection. Some corporate firewalls or VPNs may block WebRTC traffic — try disabling your VPN or switching to a different network. Also verify that you have sufficient call balance for outgoing calls.
SMS delivery depends on the sender's carrier. Some carriers may not deliver to VoIP numbers. If you're missing messages from a specific sender, ask them to verify they have the correct number.
